Pros: We loved the wallpaper in the textile room. The room is big enough for a couple and the view of the city is amazing. We visited when the restaurant was closed, so we had ample parking.

Cons: Mosquito nets on the windows would be great. One of the lamps had no lamp cover.

Beautiful area with great walks

Pros: Beautiful area - lovely walk along the Ridge at sunset. Good Breakfast

Cons: Difficult to get to as it is up the top of the hill. There is a funicular nearby that would have been good to know about prior to arrival, as it made it easier to get up and down into the old town.

Excellent option for St Gallen

Pros: Great location above St Gallen, just a 10 minute walk from the old town. Excellent room with views over the town and comfy beds. The adjoining restaurant did excellent food also - be useful to have a multi-lingual menu!

Lovely hotel in stunning location

Pros: Absolutely stunning location. Plentiful breakfast. Lovely room in the attic. Really comfy bed. One of my favourite hotels ever. Highly recommend.

Perfect for a visit to St. Gallen when arriving by car

Pros: Beautifully renovated house with nice view from the top of the hill. To walk downtown just takes 10 to 15 minutes. Uphill it may take a bit longer but the stairs keeps you fit.

Pros: Small boutique hotel in a traditional house, with character, situated on the hills above St Gallen. Our room was quite large, nicely decorated, with nice views. Comfortable bed Ample parking (no extra charge) Good breakfast left for us by invisible staff. The town centre and famous abbey is within walking distance (about 15 minutes) down a steep path / stairway. Be prepared for a \

Cons: The concept of help-yourself takes a little getting used to but it works OK. We received useful instructions in advance for letting ourselves in. Strange feeling of being alone in the house...

Mix of City centre and Alpenwiese

Pros: Great location, just 10 minutes walk from the city center Altstadt as well as quiet next to Alpenwiese, rural meadow. Quiet for a good night sleep. Proper in all its facilities.

Cons: There is no hotel staff whatsoever. No issue apart from incidental struggle, like coffee machine did not operate due to detail mishap. Breakfast room too small for the guests present.

Beautiful location and very contemporary room

Pros: the location of the hotel at a 10 minutes’ walk from the center of the town (steps) yet at the beginning of country side, up the hill, above the city. excellent restaurant adjacent. no desk/staff but everything available and very well explained.
