Only the name reminds us of the military. This historic hotel is one of the most beautiful in Switzerland. Each room is different; all are individually and lovingly furnished with original 1960s furniture and offer an above-average amount of space. The location of the hotel is also unique. Quiet yet central. The old town and all sights such as the monastery and abbey library are just a few minutes' walk away. The hotel's own restaurant with a large chestnut garden and a view of the Kreuzbleiche green space spoils you with exclusively homemade, seasonal dishes. Food in the restaurant was excellent

Pros: I thought the breakfast was to expensive and should have been included in the price of the room

Pros: The simplicity of the rooms is stunning. They are super clean. I slept like a baby - as the beds were great. The food is super and the private parking great convenience. Top location. I will be back.

Great location

Pros: Great location, easily accessible by bus or walking. We were able to check in & leave luggage. Welcoming & friendly. iPad to use if needed, water & glasses provided. Very clean and comfy bed (could have done with another pillow)

Cons: The bed only had one pillow which wasn’t quite enough.

Pros: I loved this hotel it’s Rreally spacious simple and tasteful. Great location by a park so great for our dog. Spotlessly clean, good restaurant. Would stay again for sure.

Pros: Have been there a second time with the same review. Great place for a quick night over, very conveniently located, spotlessly clean, and very friendly and attentive staff members, and good breakfast, facilities and parking on site. In short: Everything you need, nothing you don't

Cons: Nothing, but some of the rooms, due to the change from campus to hotel, have big conduits running over the floor. Funny, look, no minimisation of any comfort or something, just a simple visual item that may look funky on second floor rooms
