Great base for exploring the St Gallen area

Pros: A family run guesthouse in a rural location, yet within 30 minutes of St Gallen, Appenzell and Lake Constance. There are plenty of walks from the B&B in the surrounding hills. The family are very friendly and provide excellent service. The breakfast was very good using local produce and bread/ croissants from their own bakery. We had one evening meal here and the food was excellent and value for money.

Pros: The wonderful location on a hill outside the little village of Wald. The views from the hotel are spectacular. The rooms are large and very light with a balcony. Breakfast is served on the terrasse and includes local and homemade products.

Pros: Lovely place with a fantastic wine (surprisingly we found cava!!), excellent homemade food with unique cakes very tasty, and the best was an excellent service very approachable and nice

Pros: Unfortunately we’ve spent only one night here, but now it’s my dream to spend holidays in Hirschen Wald. Everything was perfect- hostess, nature, comfort, food! The room was bright and comfortable with awesome view from the windows. The breakfast was substantial and delicious with home made bread. It is quite and pleasant place, not faraway from Sankt Gallen.

Pros: Superbe emplacement avec une vue époustouflante. L'hôtel est charmant et les chambres confortables. Diner parfait et petit-déjeuner très satisfaisant. Le personnel est très accueillant. Un séjour parfait mais trop court !
