Great value and highly recommend

Pros: Everything we needed was there. Parking was right in front of the house.

Lovely stay

Pros: Private and Comfortable with short 1km stroll to the train station allowed us to easily get to the various mountain walks leaving the car behind. Plenty of information and Brigitte our host was so lovely.

Pros: Location was spot on, hosts were amazing friendly with great local knowledge.

Just fabulous! So glad we booked for three nights as the Swiss travel card is an excellent benefit.

Good value. Owner was friendly and tried very hard, though we only speak English.

Pros: The location was excellent and the apartment was equipped well. The bed was very comfortable with very nice bedding.

Cons: We had trouble understanding the heating system and I think the language barrier contributed to the problem. It was very cool when we checked in and we weren't positive the unit would be warm enough through the night because they couldn't explain how it worked to us. It did get warm enough, so it was alright. We believe the temperature of the water varied due to us and the owners using hot water at the same time. We did have plenty of hot water for showering and doing dishes, but we waited a couple of times just to be sure. Couldn't find any English channels on TV, but it didn't matter much. We weren't there to watch TV.

Pros: 너무 친절하고 자세한 안내와 배려로 편한 시간이 되었습니다. 조용하고 한적한 위치와 안락한 숙소로 인해 아펜첼 스위스를 느낄수 있어 행복했습니다. 아펜첼 카드를 활용하는 부분에 대한 설명으로 이곳 저곳 구석 구석 경험할수 있어서 좋은 시간이 되었습니다. 안락하고 편안한 숙소~!!! 최고~!!!

Cons: 모든게 완벽~!

Nice home base being close to town and train station.

Pros: It was private,felt homey, had everything to cook meals, and a nice little sitting area outside.

Cons: It did smell a little musty but we kept the windows slightly open and it was fine.

Pros: Die Besitzer dieser Ferienwohnung sind ein wirklich super nettes Paar, welche man immer um Hilfe oder Rat oder bei Fragen fragen konnte. Das Zimmer ist klein aber fein, hat alles was man braucht und ist gut gelegen. Gerade einmal 10min zu Innenstadt.

Perfect place to explore Appenzell

Pros: It’s a nice cozy studio on the ground floor. The host lives in the same house, but the entrance is individual. There’s everything you need to cook. The area for cooking is quite small :) beds are comfortable. It’s very dark and quiet at night, nothing disturbs your sleeping. The house is about 15 min walk from the station, a little uphill. I guess there is a taxi, but we never used it. Also we got the Appenzell tourist card which is a real deal! Free transport in the region and 2 rides on funiculars + other perks like museums, pool, tennis, yoga etc. You can check the brochure.

Cons: The ceiling is a quite low, but it’s not a big deal :)
