Pros: Gute und preiswerte Unterkunft. Kommunikation mit Gastgeber online / Telefon ohne Probleme. E-Auto: Es sind ausreichend Lademöglichkeiten im Ort vorhanden.

Das Toggenburg ist eine wunderschöne Gegend zwischen Alpstein und Churfirsten.

Pros: Sehr gut hat uns die Lage des Hauses Central gefallen. Das Haus ist zwischen zwei Kirchen gelegen (der Glockenschlag ist kaum wahrnehmbar) und sehr nahe vom Einkaufsladen und der Postautohaltestelle. Das Haus ist älterer Bauart und zweckmässig eingerichtet. Keine Teppichböden. Das Bad ist neu und mit einer schönen begehbaren Dusche eingerichtet. Die Küche ist ebenfalls neu, nicht sehr gross, aber es reicht. In der Küche hat es fast alles, vom Fondue und Raclette Ofen bis zum Eierkocher. Teilweise sind die Küchenutensilien etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, das Haus ist sehr gemütlich.

Cons: Das Einzige, was uns im Haus Central nicht so gefallen hat ist das WC im 2. Stock, das ist sehr klein und alt. Nicht brauchbar für die Morgen- und Abendtoilette der Benützer der 2 Schlafzimmer, welche sich auf dem gleichen Stock befinden. Die Gästekarte von Wildhaus/Alt St. Johann ist leider nicht wirklich attraktiv. Sie ist gültig für die Postautostrecke Wildhaus bis Nesslau und Schwägalp. Leider nicht Richtung Buchs. Mit der Gästekarte hat man weder Reduktion bei den Bergbahnen, noch in der Klangschmiede. Es hat wenige Institutionen, welche inbegriffen sind, diese waren für uns aber nicht interessant. Zum Glück wurde das Halbtax Abo bei den Bergbahnen akzeptiert. Nachbartäler wie Appenzell haben eine viel attraktivere Ferienkarte.
