Pros: helpful hosts, explained to us how to get around nicely. good breakfast with fresh items from the farm. can have fun activities with many animals.

Cons: only 2 shower rooms.

Just the break we needed!

Pros: Our family of five is on a summer tour of Europe. We've seen a lot of churches and museums and cities. They're all amazing but Hof Tschannen was exactly what we needed - a break in the country. It's a working farm. You'll stay with people from all over who just need a bit of time away from their own hustle and bustle. This is the perfect place. You can't be stressed in a place with bunnies and cows and ping pong and a pedal-go-kart. There's a local swimming (in Bodensee) spot and groceries a short drive away and you can walk into Germany for a really good pretzel or a boatride on the lake. Oh, and don't get me started on the (included) breakfast! Farm-fresh eggs, bread from the oven, local jams and honey and cheese and even homemade apricot yogurt! We skipped lunch most days that we stayed with the Tschannens. They helped us in every possible way and we are very grateful to our new Swiss Family!

Cons: We liked it all but I'll answer this so you don't accidentally book it for your honeymoon. This is not a place to go for privacy or for luxury. This is a real-people living real life and building relationships and families kind of place. Kids can be kids and sometimes that means crying. Your life is not an instagram story. It's an actual story with other people in it.

Pros: A beautiful place with great facilities, delicious breakfast, and warm & friendly owners. We had a great time saying hello to all the animals and walking to and from the farm was the perfect way to see the forest and countryside around it.

Very nice for a family vacation

Pros: Breakfast was exceptional. The owner and his wife are super friendly. As for the facilities, I cannot say much since I was really there only for business and only used the room for what little sleep I could afford. But at first glance it looks like a very fun family time, especially for children, where they can get to know the in- and outs of a real farm. Looking forward to visiting again some time, perhaps on my own personal time.

Farm atmosphere, nice view, friendly host liked it.

Pros: It was different compared to standard accommodations. I liked the most the atmosphere with the animals and the really good breakfast.

Cons: I’m not so keen on shared restrooms.

Lovely farm with a gorgeous view!

Pros: Wonderful place, lovely views of the lake from atop a hill. It's a family farm so you get to see all the animals. We even took some cherries before we were off the next day. Such a lovely place and lovely owners, would love to go back!

Cons: You have to pay extra for using the kitchen, but it was a small amount.

Cons: There was a hefty priceincrease on the jam for Germans. Card payment was spontaneously not available and if payed in €, we had to pay 6 € instead of 5 CHF and could only get a small jar of jam. So it was 6 € / 250 g of jam Whereas it should be 7 CHF / 500 g jar. 1 CHF = 1,02 €

Pros: Außergewöhnlich. Wir hatten spontan einen Zwischenstopp hier eingelegt. Alles sauber, sehr nette Leute.

Cons: Das Bett war nicht sehr komfortabel und das Zimmer auch recht klein und sehr warm.

Kinder glücklich -Eltern glücklich !

Pros: Ein wunderbarer familiärer Bauernhof! Einfach gehalten aber sehr herzlich ! Für Kinder ein Paradies mit vielen Tieren auch zum streicheln und anfassen !

Cons: Alles ok wenn man sich bewusst ist das es ein Bauernhof ist !
